Primer, Foundations, and Translucent Powders

Hey guys...

Sorry for no blogs over the weekend I had a psych test which owned my whole weekend!
So today I figured I would talk about some of my favorite primer, foundations, and translucent powders all of which are essentials for myself... So here we go!

First primers!
Primers are my life...
To me it makes all the difference because it really makes foundation look even and helps it to stick. And because my skin is oily it does help control the shine on my face.

So I have three favorite.
My hands down favorite is Smashbox photo finish foundation primer. I love the way it feels on my face and I love the matte finish it leaves! The only downfall is that it is pricey.
I also  LOVE! the Tarte clean slate poreless foundation primer. This is also another great product, I don't have an issue with pores but it does make your foundation look so beautifully even... Also pricey but you'll love it!

Another fave is NYX Shine Killer. This stuff is my go to everyday primer because it's very similar to the Smashbox and Tarte primer and it's so affordable. And really it's almost identical to the Smashbox primer so this is a strong suggestion if you do your makeup everyday and I would suggest the other two for weekends or when you're going out or somewhere special!

Now on to Foundation...
Foundation is one of those things that are super important especially if your skin is far from perfect and there's so many factors that determine which foundation is right for you and your skin type.
As you know my face is oily so I really like to use foundations that will not have me needing to touch up my face constantly. Not that I am overly oily but my skin will get oily on the t zone within two hours of application... annoying but hey it will help my chances of fighting off wrinkles!

So first...
My Foundation of choice is MAC's studio fluid. It is a full coverage, so all your blemishes will poof into thin air and it lasts! I CAN'T imagine life without it and it looks so great on. I really know it'll be flattering on all skin types.

My second choice is Tarte's Amazonian Clay full coverage 12 hours foundation. This stuff is a close second and it is absolutely GORGEOUS! I love a matte finish especially with foundation so this is an amazing choice! Another upside to this line is that it's all natural so that's a plus especially because it's something that's on  your face!

One of my everyday foundations is the L'Oreal True Match Lumi. It's a great day to day foundation it's a medium coverage and is my favorite drugstore brand foundation. It's actually the only drugstore brand i've used because i've just had too many misses. But try this because it's cheap and if you hate it i'm sorry but at least it was cheap lol.

Tarte's Maracuja Miricle foundation. This foundation actually looks really oily when you first put it on because it has Maracuja oil in it but once you put on a finishing powder or a translucent powder and it is supa dupa fly! This is actually my boyfriends favorite foundation lol Well I think it is because when I wear it he gives me the most compliments :)

These two are the newest additions to my collection both by MAC and I am still getting very used to them so I can give a little more insight once I get a little more familiar with the product. But to me they are both similar but I think both give a very natural look which is great when you're wearing a bold eye! The mineralized foundation I know is vitamin infused which is as good as it possibly can be for your skin, I guess.

Last but not least Translucent Powders!
A staple to my look because it gives your face perfect finishing touch...
I alternate between three powders but Makeup Forever is my favorite of all the ones I've tried.
It doesn't look all chalky and it gives you a great great finish!
Giorgio Armoni Micro Fil Loose powder. It's supposed to have some special stuff in it that I have no clue about but it's a fabulous product but it is SUPER expensive but on the flip side it will last you a life time!
And last but not least MAC's translucent powder it's discontinued but I think they have something up to par if not better still available i think it's a part of the prep and prime line. This is also great but like I said they're all pretty similar. So just pick one you like and is affordable!

So information overload... My bad but foundation has so many important parts to know!
So enjoy and pick carefully you have this stuff all over your face and don't want to look like a cakey hot mess!
