I wore a navy blue sundress and wore eye shadow to match... My makeup is always based off of my outfit because I like it to go together!
So here you see my look. Very casual not too bold or crazy looking! (I took this picture on the front camera of my phone sorry if it's not so great) I love using color on my eyes I don't know why people don't do it more often it looks AWESOME!
Ok so first I prime my eyes with MAC's painterly paint pot
IF YOU WEAR EYE SHADOWS FREQUENTLY AND DON'T OWN THIS PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND PURCHASE THIS ITEM!!!
It's my favorite primer and it really prevents your eye shadow from bunching up in creases and it makes it last ALL DAY!!! Especially if you're attending a special even PERFECT PURCHASE!
After my primer is on I put MAC's swell baby all over my lid, it's a grayish matte color with the smallest amount of shimmer it was from the sailer collection ! I applied it with a normal eye shadow brush... I use some random pink one no idea where I got it but it's my favorite brush!
After I put on this color I use a large blending brush and just blend out the edges.
After using the swell baby I put MAC's extra dimension eye shadow in Lunar!
This is a beautifully pigmented navy blue that is so rich and it goes on really nicely!
I use a blending brush to blend it out into my outer corners and outer crease. I blend it in inwards so it isn't such a harsh contrast! When applying this color it's important to use a light hand because it is so dark and can be overpowering if put on too heavily!
After its nice and blended out I put on my liquid eye liner (Stila in black ). I always do a wing because it complements my eyes... wings are my obsession! Once my eye liner is on I put a little of the Lunar in my bottom outer corners and blend it out with a pencil brush! I love this color on the bottom it helps your eyes pop! Once you've blended this out I put Urban Decay's 24/7 in my water line to add more depth to my eyes! I love my eye liners dark!
Once the liner is out of the way I used Maybelline's Greatest Lash Mascara in Very Black. This was my first time using this product and I really liked how natural it made my lashes look. I hate chunky spider looking eye lashes! My only issue with this is that the wand is a little small but it's no big deal.
Now on to the face!
I went with a very neutral face because my eyes has that Lunar on it and wanted that to be the focus. For foundation I used MAC's Face and Body Foundation in C7 and used a big fluffy brush from Tarte and applied it all over my face. I like a big fluffy brush because it make it look so natural and that's what I was going for.
Just in case you were wondering this is the brush I used to apply the foundation.
After I applied the foundation I apply Garniers Skin Renew in Medium/Deep and apply it in a V shape under my eyes and I use my bootleg beauty blender and blend it out!
I used MAC'S Wonder Women Mineralize Skinfinish in Pink Power! FAVORITE OF MINE AND CAN BE USED ON ALMOST EVERY SKIN TONE!!! I dropped it which is why it looks like this but it still works! I use the middle color as my blush and the best part about this particular product is that it has two highlight and is so convenient for vacations because they can be doubled as eye shadows! I didn't contour or do anything special I just applied it to the apples of my cheeks toward the tops of my ear and made sure it was nice and blended out!
I highlight the tops of my cheeks with The Balm's Mary Lou Manizer very lightly for a small glow.
To finish my look I used MAC's Mineralized Skinfinish in Medium Dark and put it all over my face! This is the best best best thing ever if you have oily skin and just in general to give you a nice finished look.
And you're done... Just add your favorite neutral gloss or lipstick! I think I was wearing NYX Eclair...
GOOD LUCK!!!
Sorry everything's MAC it's my favorite line.
