FIRST IMPRESSION: MARC JACOBS BEAUTY Genius Gel Super Charged Foundation

So I decided to try out the new Marc Jacobs Genius Gel Foundations. Originally I went into Sephora with intentions on buying the new Smashbox Halo foundation but ended up getting this beauty instead because the formula appealed to me more when I swatched it. It dried fairly matte which is what drew me in since I have combination skin and like more of a matte finish. The above video gives you an idea of how the foundation wears. I did wear it for about 11 hours and updated every few hours. I really didn't see a big difference in the formula I did think it would be a little different since it is "genius gel" but it reminded me of any typical liquid foundation. I have combination skin and get oily through my t-zone so I really wanted to see how this product would handle my oil.

Coverage --> Sheer to medium but it is buildable.

Suggested Skin Types --> Dry, Medium, and Combination.
I found myself needing to powder after a few hours which is nothing new to me but, I will say that it lasted through me sweating, heat, and humidity. Which is a definite plus!

So this product retails for about $48. And yes it is steep for a foundation and I think you can find a product equally as good for the same price.

Do I like it ... YES! But, I just don't think I would repurchase it again because it didn't do anything significant enough for me to repurchase it for this price! I do think those with dry to normal skin would probably enjoy this product more. Since it is sheer to medium those with clearer skin.

So those are my thoughts based off the one use. Maybe as I use it more I'll like it better but for now it's just ok.

Thanks for reading :)

FAIL!! Make Up For Ever HD Foundation Review

Lately I have been on a foundation overload and have just purchased several foundations. I kept seeing this Make Up For Ever ( MUFE) everywhere, read reviews, and saw it was one of Sephora's best sellers. So, I decided to hop on the bandwagon and give it a try. But, this wasn't my first rodeo with this product. About 3 years ago I had purchased this because one of Kim K's makeup artist suggested it and of course I had to have it because homegirls makeup is flawless. When I tried it back then I hated it! And couldn't wait to finish it since it was a pretty penny. But... in those three years I feel I've learned more about the art of makeup and figured why not try it again since I know more now then I did then. I mean truth is... I probably was  the one who sucked not the product. WRONG!!!! When I applied this product it looked good I had no complaints it was medium coverage my skin wasn't overly shiny I had nothing negative to say about the product. As the day went on, the product went  off. On the sides of my nose the product had completely came off. No I wasn't sweating, no I wasn't touching my face it just wasn't wanting to stick to my skin AT ALL. I do have combination skin where I do get shine in my t-zone but  NEVER! have I ever had a foundation slide off like that. Not even my drugstore products. That was disappointing since this guy was not cheap! So I returned it. Wasn't my cup of tea. And much to my surprise one of the employees at Sephora also had the same problem and she said her skin is extremely dry. So it wasn't just me... But, some people swear buy this stuff. Me personally NO THANK YOU!
So that was just my two cents. I would hate for anyone to waste their time and/money but then again it may work for you.
